Bellatrix Countdown: Interview With Liberty

The name Liberty in Webster's Dictionary means "the quality or state of being free." The wrestler Liberty is an extraordinary athlete. Not only did she beat Queen Maya to take home the RQW European Ladies Championship, she will face against a star on the rise who ha gotten lots of attention, "Portugal's Perfect Athlete" Shanna.

In her all new interview, Liberty will address her previous Bellatrix appearance as well as her match with Shanna this Sunday. With a list of talented individuals, she has a lot to say about them.

1. Congratulations on winning the RQW European Ladies Championship, it's a long time coming. How do you feel after winning the gold from Queen Maya?

When the referee counted to 3 after I gave Maya the sunset flip-bomb, I was overwhelmed, I didn’t know what to do with myself, all I could really focus on was the crowd and how loud they were cheering a the time! When I was handed the belt I just wanted to celebrate, it was a surreal and amazing feeling.

2. I know the history between the two of you, and at one time it ended badly because Queen Maya had to leave with a broken arm. Do you think she was ready for you?

After Bellatrix 4, I think the only thing Queen Maya was interested in was revenge.. She was out to to some damage, and in all honestly I was quite cautious of what she might do. She was ready and rearing to go!

3. For those who didn't know, Queen Maya has gotten a steel plate in her forearm, and might strike you with it. Were you ready for that?

I was aware that Queen Maya had the steel plate enforced in her broken arm yes, which did make me very weary of what her intentions were. as I found out nearing the end of our match, that steel plate was nothing but pain! after being hit across the face with it, there was a split second I thought I may not have been able to carry on with the match.

4. What are your reactions to that finish?

I knew from the start of the match I was going to have to give Maya something big, she's an incredible wrestler and would not go down easy. The sunset flip-bomb was pure desperation and was a last attempt to win for me. Queen Maya had pushed me to my limits, but when I got the win i was ecstatic!

5. What's next on the table for you? I know the Queen won't go down without a fight and might challenge you to a rematch.

If Queen Maya wants a rematch, then it's a rematch she will get. I know full well that lady is up for a fight anytime, and after our last match she should know that so am I! I'd happily give her a rematch if it came down to it.

6. Now you will be facing Shanna for the RQW European Ladies Championship. What do you think about the talented individual who has gotten lots of attention?

Personally, I haven't seen all that much of Shanna, although I have heard that she has been participating in TNA's Gut Check. I'm looking forward to our match and seeing what she has to offer. bring it on!

7. Let's go around with name association. I say a name, you can respond to whatever you please. Queen Maya?

From experience, Queen Maya is a true competitor! she's determined and is willing to do whatever she has to do, to win.

8. Lady Penelope?

As well as a great friend of mine, Lady Penelope is extremely talented, definitely one to keep a look out for!

9. Destiny?

After seeing Destiny so nearly take the SHIMMER Championship away from Sweet Saraya, anyone would be a fool to underestimate her.

10. Viper?

I have set to see what viper has to bring to the table, but she really does look like you could do a lot of damage!

11. Sweet Saraya Knight?

Sweet Saraya really is a legend. she's taught me everything i know and is now passing on her knowledge to all of us at Bellatrix.

12. Who is your dream opponent and why?

My dream opponent has to be Gail Kim. Not only does she look the part but she is extremely talented and has a ruthless attitude when she wrestles! A great icon of women's wrestling.

13. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your fans as well as Shanna?

To all the fans, keep supporting Bellatrix as it is definitely on the rise and we are finally getting the recognition we all deserve! As for Shanna.. you better bring your A game. I've faced and beaten the tallest female in Europe that is Queen Maya. I'm ready for whatever you've got!

No Way, Jose: Guerra Is Gone From River City Wrestling

It's official; Jose Guerra is no longer endorsed or involved with San Antonio based River City Wrestling due to questionable professional ethics. He is now a free agent thanks to his boneheaded display of no-showing events for RCW, but face it; nobody has to like it, but it has to be done.

If I were a wrestling promoter, I would definitely release someone with so much promise and so much talent and let that go to waste. It was stupid on his part. Very stupid. If anybody needs to put the blame on somebody for no-showing events, it's Jose Guerra.

Like I said earlier; “There should be other schools where he should train. And to keep him in check professionally. I hardly know much about any wrestling schools in Texas but I know one in New York. He should go there not only to continue his training, but work on his professionalism." No question there. I would love to see Jose in my home promotion New York Wrestling Connection or any other promotions in the Tri-State area.

But first he's gotta clean up his act.

That is all.

Bellatrix Countdown: Interview With Rhia O'Reilly

The last time I did an interview with the tough Irishwoman Rhia O'Reilly, she was preparing for SHIMMER and Shine this past April. With the huge following, Rhia brings her A-game every time. As Bellatrix British Women's Champion, she puts it on the line against her rival Erin Angel.

In this new interview, Rhia will talk about the past April's events as well as her upcoming match. With a lineup of talented ladies, she'll give her description of some of them.

1. Now that you'll be facing Erin Angel for the Bellatrix British Women's Champion, what do you think will happen?

Well that’s a stupid question. I think, no wait, I know I’m gonna win. I’ve said it before, Erin is extremely talented and experienced but I’m extremely attached to being British Champion. Last time we wrestled at Bellatrix I won and I’m planning on the outcome being the same this time around.

2. You just blew in from a SHIMMER Weekend which saw NEW Tag Team Champions and a dark turn for the other champion. Care to explain to our readers what happened while you were in Secaucus, NJ and Berwyn, IL?

I think the best thing they can do is get those DVDs when they come out and see for themselves. I wouldn’t want to paint a pictures in an inaccurate and biased light. But I will tell you that the trip from Secaucus to Berwyn was a long road trip. We don’t even have that many miles in Ireland.

3. It also came to my attention that you'll be facing Nikki Storm for the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship. Will you take the battle to her?

I’ve always respected Nikki Storm and am happy to see her as EVE champion but I’ll be even happier when that belt is around my waist. (Editors Note: Although Rhia won by DQ, Nikki Storm is still Pro Wrestling EVE Champion.)

4. It is apparent that you, Saraya, and Bellatrix World Champion Courtney Rush wrestle for SHIMMER, do you believe Bellatrix is similar to Dave Prazak's creation?

They are similar in so far as they are both full of talented female wrestlers with international locker rooms. However they are both unique with different creative minds behind them both. I don’t think you can just watch Shimmer and discount other female wrestling. Bellatrix has a very different feel to it because not only is it made from a predominantly European roster but more importantly it’s a British promotion and that garners its own style and quality.

5. Let's go around with name association. I say a name, you can respond to whatever you please. Shanna?

Perfeito

6. Nikki Storm?

Dafty boot

7. Alpha Female?

Verrückt

8. Queen Maya?

Gigante

9. Erin Angel?

Current nemesis

10. Kay Lee Ray?

If someone has to do those crazy dives…rather her than me!

11. Courtney Rush?

Suplexing Winnipegger and my first Shimmer opponent.

12. Davina Rose aka Bayley?

We’re currently at one a piece, best of 3?

13. Veda Scott?

Excellent driver

14. MsChif?

Her scream is an illegal weapon and should be banned from the ring.

15. Cheerleader Melissa?

That curb stomp is lethal!

16. Saraya Knight?

Don’t cross the boss.

17. Who is your dream opponent and why?

I would love to have wrestled Allison Danger who sadly had to retire this year. So, yeah….

18. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your fans as well as Erin Angel?

25th June I will leave the same way I arrive, Bellatrix British Champion. Oh really? O’Reilly!

Special thanks to Rhia O'Reilly for her time for this interview as well as Saraya Knight for helping me out in the process. To keep up with Rhia, follow her on Twitter @rdpixie.

Barbwire Blog Interview With Aaron Sharp

This guy Aaron Waldrom is a powerful guy. Straight from England, this guy knows how to grapple and put opponents down. He also goes buy the name Aaron Sharp, and this guy is tougher than a two-dollar steak, as legendary broadcaster Jim Ross puts it.

This interview will have “The Lion" talking about his early work as well as his memorable feud and match in his career.

Let the interview begin!

1. How did you get involved in professional wrestling?

When I was 17 I met a wrestler who introduced me to the business and I started training with wrestlers before shows and then went over to WAW to get better training.

2. What was your early years like?

My early years were full of experience week in week out for a beginner, as I was travelling with some of the top talents in the world at the time, studying them and watching them. However it was hard to gain respect being a newcomer so it took me a while to settle in.

3. You perform for the World Association of Wrestling, promoted by Ricky Knight. What is it like to wrestle there?

Wrestling for WAW is such an amazing feeling, working with many of the top wrestlers around, and being a part of one of Europes top promotions is a priviledge.

4. What is your favorite feud in your career?

My favourite feud is definitely against Aron Frost, the Norweigen Viking, who I am currently feuding with (since 2009) and had some good quality solid matches.

5. What is your take on the World of Wrestling?

I feel as though there is alot of talent out there in the business today, and efforts really need to be shown alot more, and recognised especially the british talent. However it seems to be progressing more and more each year.

6. Do you watch the WWE product or the TNA product?

I like to watch WWE and occasionally TNA, and I do enjoy to watch the old school style from the 80's - 90's wrestling alot more.

7. What is your memorable match in your career?

My most memorable match would be versus Rowdy Ricky Knight back in February 2005. It was a sold out crowd and the atmosphere was amazing. It was definitely a moment and a experience that I will never forget.

8. Would you like to work on the independent scene or would you work in one of the big leagues?

Ideally, I would like to take my abilities and my career in wrestling to the top, in the most recognised wrestling company in the world, WWE.

9. What does the future hold for you?

So far, thanks to the Knights I will be traveling Europe a lot more this year and I am itching to get a try-out for WWE in the near future.

10. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your supporters?

I would like to thank everybody who has supported me up until now and who has taught me everything I know in the wrestling business, and who has stood by me through the hard times, you all know who you are and believe me when I tell you.........you ain't seen nothing yet, the best of me is yet to come.

Special thanks to Aaron Waldrom for his time for this interview, as well as Saraya Knight for helping me out in the process. To learn more about this phenomenal athlete, check out his Facebook page at Facebook.com/aaron.waldrom.
