Barbwire Blog Interview With Aaron Sharp

This guy Aaron Waldrom is a powerful guy. Straight from England, this guy knows how to grapple and put opponents down. He also goes buy the name Aaron Sharp, and this guy is tougher than a two-dollar steak, as legendary broadcaster Jim Ross puts it.

This interview will have “The Lion" talking about his early work as well as his memorable feud and match in his career.

Let the interview begin!

1. How did you get involved in professional wrestling?

When I was 17 I met a wrestler who introduced me to the business and I started training with wrestlers before shows and then went over to WAW to get better training.

2. What was your early years like?

My early years were full of experience week in week out for a beginner, as I was travelling with some of the top talents in the world at the time, studying them and watching them. However it was hard to gain respect being a newcomer so it took me a while to settle in.

3. You perform for the World Association of Wrestling, promoted by Ricky Knight. What is it like to wrestle there?

Wrestling for WAW is such an amazing feeling, working with many of the top wrestlers around, and being a part of one of Europes top promotions is a priviledge.

4. What is your favorite feud in your career?

My favourite feud is definitely against Aron Frost, the Norweigen Viking, who I am currently feuding with (since 2009) and had some good quality solid matches.

5. What is your take on the World of Wrestling?

I feel as though there is alot of talent out there in the business today, and efforts really need to be shown alot more, and recognised especially the british talent. However it seems to be progressing more and more each year.

6. Do you watch the WWE product or the TNA product?

I like to watch WWE and occasionally TNA, and I do enjoy to watch the old school style from the 80's - 90's wrestling alot more.

7. What is your memorable match in your career?

My most memorable match would be versus Rowdy Ricky Knight back in February 2005. It was a sold out crowd and the atmosphere was amazing. It was definitely a moment and a experience that I will never forget.

8. Would you like to work on the independent scene or would you work in one of the big leagues?

Ideally, I would like to take my abilities and my career in wrestling to the top, in the most recognised wrestling company in the world, WWE.

9. What does the future hold for you?

So far, thanks to the Knights I will be traveling Europe a lot more this year and I am itching to get a try-out for WWE in the near future.

10. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your supporters?

I would like to thank everybody who has supported me up until now and who has taught me everything I know in the wrestling business, and who has stood by me through the hard times, you all know who you are and believe me when I tell you.........you ain't seen nothing yet, the best of me is yet to come.

Bellatrix Countdown: Interview With Violet O'Hara

The ever talented Violet O'Hara is exceptionally good to a certain degree. Her experience brings nothing but solid advantages in the ring as well as her skill set. Along with her partner Chanel, she will face off against the proud Scotswomen, Viper and Bete Noire on June 23.

Her interview like all the interviews I did in the past is 100% honest and 0% BS as she talks about her upcoming match as well as her previous one with Bacardi last March.

1. With this awesome tag match that features you and Chanel against Bette Noir and Viper, are you more focused than ever before?

Yes , I have to be ...I was a little  wary at first  when the match was announced but I think we can handle it. We're tougher than we look, yes we are the underdogs and have a great challenge ahead but we're Bellatrix warriors...I don’t know what people will be expecting but I know some are already seeing us as the underdogs but that’s not going to stop us going out there and kicking ass.

2. Your previous match in Bellatrix was against Bacardi, which you picked up the win. What was your reaction to this result?

It felt great...This was my first time facing Bacardi and I was a little  unsure how proceed as I was unfamiliar with her style  but  knew I had to outsmart her  and use my agility and at that somewhere during the match I thought its now or never.

3. Are you looking forward to championship opportunities in the near future?

Yes, definitely, there’s a few I dream of having, maybe just maybe one day...

4. What have you been up to since the aftermath of Bellatrix 5?

I’ve been back to the gym and training regularly again , I also have a few more matches under my belt doing a little bit of research, picking up a few things .. learning what I'm capable of among other things.

5. Let's go around with name association. I say a name, you can respond to whatever you please. Chanel?

Determined,  fellow northerner

6. Destiny?

A force to be reckoned with , rulebreaker, great hair

7. Viper?

Strong, aggressive, one of my opponents

8. Queen Maya?

So very very tall, regal, proud

9. Bacardi?

clever

10 Saraya Knight?

Dangerous, formidable,  a great teacher

11. Who is your dream opponent and why?

I male or female ...its hard as there are many  wrestlers everytime i’m asked  this it take me about 5 mins to answer lol.... my female dream opponent(s) at this moment  in time would have to be either  AJ  Lee as we are  both quite small  in stature and the styles of wrestling are quite alike  it would be a quite competitive  match or Beth Phoenix that would be interesting

12. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your fans as well as Viper and Bette Noir?

Thank for your continued support, it means a lot thank you   ...    you can find me on twitter under @lil_missviole and facebook  I do have a  fan page   ...   there are a lot of great companies out there if you have the time take a look at them then please  do .....hope to see some of you at  Bellatrix 6 but if your miles away and  don’t want to miss out it is on IPPV so check it out ...

Girls no doubt your going to be bring your  all  they say you scots like a good  fight ,well we never back down... see you on the 23rd  xoxox

Special thanks to Violet O'Hara for her time for this interview as well as Saraya Knight for helping me out in the process. To keep up with Violet, follow her on Twitter @lil_missviolet.

Bellatrix Countdown: Interview with Bette Noir

Bette Noir brings a lot to the table in Bellatrix. Her skill set is second to none as she puts her talent to good use. Along with her fellow Scotswoman Viper, the duo will take on the talented duo of Violet O'Hara and Chanel on June 23.

This interview will include her early work as well as her favorite match and rivalry in her career. She will also describe a few names in wrestling as well.

1. How did you get involved in professional wrestling?

I had always been a fan as a kid. I had my routine down to a fine art: Friday night I'd watch Raw, Saturday Morning Smackdown and Sunday Morning I'd watch Heat but of course because at the time it was shown in America first, I would go on the net to find out the results. I was amazed by not just the ring work but the stories as well. Wrestling had everything for me.

When I finished University I was at a loss and a friend suggested I tried something new. I found a school near me and I never looked back.

2. What was your early years in wrestling like?

A steep learning curve. When I first started I didn't really realise just how much goes into wrestling. I spent so much time at training just listening to people and watching those more experienced than me to try and soak up how they did things but then later on learned to put my own twist onto it.
It isn't just about the basics of the ring work, there's so much more that goes into it and you simply can't prepare your body for the beating it's going to be taking while you train. I lived in a state of perpetual pain for the first 6 months of my training just from being stiff and sore. I still get stiff and sore, but if you love it and you really want to succeed then you know that it's all worth it.

3. You will make your Bellatrix debut teaming up with Viper against a talented duo in Bellatrix, Voilet O'Hara and Chanel. Is it going to be a tough match?

I wouldn't say it's going to be a tough match but It'll be interesting. Both Viper and myself are very similar. We use our size and strength as an advantage against whoever we get in the ring with. I've seen both Violet and Chanel and know what they can do, I'll admit I was impressed but I'm not sure they're ready for the likes of us.

4. What is your favorite feud in your career?

Ironically enough, my favorite feud was with Viper! I was at a point where I felt I still had a lot to prove and I really wanted to show people what I was made of. Viper and I went out and we really tore it up, I mean we really took each other to the next level and it did make people sit up and take notice.

5. What is your favorite match in your career?

It's a tie between Myself vs Viper at ICW Tramspotting. That was a particularly brutal match but one that I felt really showed everyone what I was made of and that I belonged where I had gotten to. The second is myself Vs Crazy Mary Dobson at ICW: Fierce Females "Luke...Who's Yer Da?" I loved that match because it had hardcore rules and that was the first time I had ever worked like that and we really pushed the envelope out.

6. What is your take on Women's Wrestling?

It's going through a real evolution at the moment and that is amazing. Some of the schools around the country are the reason for that because they have produced wrestlers like April Davids, Nikki Storm, Kay Lee Ray etc. At the moment a lot of the women are on shows and are having better matches than some of the men and that's outstanding! There is a place for women's wrestling in this country, no doubt, and right now there hasn't been a better time to get involved.

7. Do you watch the WWE product or the TNA product?

I do. I've always watched the WWE from a young age and although I don't always have time to watch it live on the night I'll still either record it for later or watch the highlights. Even if you're not particularly happy with the way the product is going, there is a reason these companies are the two biggest in the world and it's important to keep up with what is relevant because if you have aspirations of some day working for these guys then you need to know what they're going to be looking for at the time. It's like with any job, you have to do your research.

8. Do you wish to wrestle for top US Women's Wrestling federations like SHIMMER, SHINE OR WSU (Women's Superstars Uncensored)?

Absolutely, I would love to. They have such a fantastic pool of talent and I definitely strive to be included in that some day.

9. Would you like to work on the independent scene or would you work in one of the big leagues?

I love the independent scene. You get to work with such a variety of people and talent and that can only help you improve as a wrestler. I don't think I've ever been to a show where I've come away having not learned or picked up some little tip or trick. Saying that, since I was a kid I've always wanted to work for one of the big companies and that dream hasn't changed.

10. Let's go around with name association. I say a name, you can respond whatever you please.

Violet O'Hara? - Quick thinking

11. Nikki Storm? - Talented but loud!

12. Chanel? - Crafty

13. Viper? - Dominant

14. Saraya Knight? - One of the most hard working women in wrestling today

15. Who is your dream opponent and why?

I would LOVE to wrestle Lisa Marie Varon (WWE's Victoria/TNA's Tara) because I think she has an amazing in-ring presence that makes you sit up and take notice of her no matter what she is doing. I'd also have loved to wrestle Lita since she is definitely an inspiration for getting in the ring.

16. What does the future hold for you?

I'm going to continue to work hard and evolve into the wrestler that I really want to be. Hopefully I'll be working overseas very soon.

17. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your supporters?

I'd just like to say thank you to everyone that supports me and encourages me to keep going. It means so much to me and I hope I can continue to do everyone proud!

Special thanks to Bette Noir for her time for this interview as well as Saraya Knight for her help in the process. To keep up with Bette Noir, follow her on Twitter @BeteNoireSmash.

Bellatrix Countdown: Interview With Nikki Storm

To some, Nikki Storm is talented. To others, she's a livewire with skills in the ring and skills on the microphone. Make no mistake about it, this Scottish female wrestler can hang tough with the best of them. Recently, she holds the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship for a second time. The first time was marred with controversy when she lost to Emi Sakura. On June 23, she will face off against the Nordic Valkyrie, Miss Mina.

In her exclusive interview, Nikki will bring up her early background in wrestling as well as her opponent. With world domination in her sights, there's no telling when the Dynamite Queen will stop.

1. What got you interested in professional wrestling?

I started watching wrestling when I was really young and when I was 18, I joined the source wrestling school (Scottish wrestling alliance) In Glasgow and have been there ever since. I loved everything about pro wrestling: the characters, the athleticism....everything. I was hooked and I had found home.

2. What was your early year in wrestling like?

I worked hard, was training damn near every day in the wrestling ring. I valeted Britain's most wanted (Damian O'Conner and Scott Renwick) before making my wrestling debut in the Kelvin Hall in September 2008, 7 months after beginning training. That first year was hard on different levels but I knew from the get go, it felt right, it felt natural. I knew from my first training session that I had done the right thing.

3. You'll be making your Bellatrix debut against Miss Mina. Will you more than likely bring the battle to the Nordic Valkyrie?

Silly question to be honest. In EVERY single match you should bring the battle. June 23rd will be NO different.

4. What is your favorite feud in your career?

Nikki storm V Hanako Nakamori which took place in my tour of Japan this year.

5. What was your favorite match in your career? Nikki Storm V Alpha female. November 2012.

6. What is your take on women's wrestling?

I see it as wrestling. I don't make distinction between men and women. I don't know what I am. I transcend gender.

7. It looks like you're highly involved in TNA's Gut Check. What is it like to be on the list of talented athletes?

I think it's an honour for them to be on that list with me.... Only joking......not really :p

It's fun, it is what it is and we will see what happens.

8. Do you wish to wrestle for top US Women's Wrestling federations like SHIMMER, SHINE, or WSU (Women's Superstars Uncensored)?

I'm taking over the world so yes.

9. Let's go around with some name association. I say a name, you can respond to whatever you please.

Alpha Female? Eats wild animals.

10. Shanna? Spoiled. Tanned.

11. Rhia O'Reilly? Brilliant competitor. Guinness.

12. Paige? Incredibly Talented

13. Cheerleader Melissa? 1 day.

14. Emi Sakura? Kind heart and professional.

15. Saraya Knight? Tough and Feisty :-)

16. Who is your dream opponent and why? If I could wrestle myself, nikki storm v nikki storm.... I would.

17. What does the future hold for you?

Wrestling takes you on a crazy journey, a wild roller coaster and you have no idea when you are going to end up or where the next turn or loop will take you. The future is a blank canvas. And I love it.

18. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your fans as well as Miss Mina?

Mina-For the love of God, do your homework and get ready. I'm not getting off this roller coaster any time soon and I won't settle for anything less than world domination.

Special thanks to the REIGNING Pro Wrestling EVE Champion Nikki Storm for her time for this interview as well as Saraya Knight for helping me out in the process. To keep up with Miss Nicola Storm, follow her on Twitter @NikkiStorm1.

Bellatrix Countdown: Interview With Viper

In Scotland, you never seen a real live viper in the neighborhood...Unless you see a fighter in a wrestling ring named Viper. Make no mistake about it, she is absolutely dangerous as well as beautiful. Along with Bette Noir, she will face off against a talented duo in Violet O'Hara and Chanel on June 23.

In her in-depth interview, you will hear about the early work of the Scottish Viper, as well as her favorite rivalry as well as her favorite match in her career. With a list of past WAWW/Bellatrix stars, she'll describe each and every one of them.

1. How did you get involved in professional wrestling?

Like most wrestlers I've loved to watch wrestling from a young age, it never occurred to me that there were places to train to be a wrestler until my friend told me about a wrestling school called the Scottish Wrestling Alliance (now Source Wrestling School) near me. I decided to go one day and try it out, I loved it straight away and haven't looked back since.

2. What was your early years in wrestling like?

I have only been wrestling for 5 years so I would still say I am in my early years, but it was very difficult for me at the start. I was very young and had to deal with losing relatives and my family members were not very happy about me going to training so it was hard to attend my school regularly. However, I persisted and they began to see that I was very serious about wrestling and now I have their full support.

3. You will make your Bellatrix debut since you last appeared in WAW. What is it like to wrestle in there?

It's fantastic, great  crowds, great atmosphere and a great company. It's a brilliant platform for all female wrestlers and a good chance for the fans to see us too.

4. You'll be teaming up with Bette Noir against a talented duo in Bellatrix, Voilet O'Hara and Chanel. Is it going to be a tough match?

I have faced Violet before so I have some idea of what to expect however I have no doubt that as a determined wrestler she has advanced since we last met. Many people may take Violet for granted due to her smaller stature but you must never underestimate her! Her fire, determination and will more than make up for it, I'm positive she will put up one hell of a fight!
Although I have never faced Chanel before, I have heard plenty about her. She's making big waves since coming to Bellatrix, her matches against Phobia and Destiny showed that, like Violet she is determined with an unbreakable will. Both girls will be a handful, but I am very confident in mine and Bête Noire's abilities, we are a very strong tag team and have proved ourselves against many formidable opponents. All in all I think it's a good match up and I'm looking forward to the girls bringing their best to the table.

5. What is your favorite feud in your career?

I'd have to say my favourite feud so far is my ongoing feud between myself and Bête Noire against the Amazon Ayesha Ray and Rhia O'Reilly. With the feud spilling over several different companies, I don't think the score will ever be truly settled between our two teams.

6. What is your favorite match in your career?

My favourite match in my Career would have to be against Bête Noire at Insane Championship Wrestling: Tramspotting. It's been my hardest and  most brutal match to date.

7. What is your take on Women's Wrestling?

I love women's wrestling, it just so empowering. I'm a bit fan of intergender wrestling but I do believe that there is a certain something in women's wrestling that men's wrestling just doesn't seem to capture. So much emotion, heart, grace  and elegance that seems to be conveyed much stronger.

8. Do you watch the WWE product or the TNA product?

I watch both products and enjoy them very much as well as several independent companies, I feel watching different products and styles helps me become a better wrestler.

9. Do you wish to wrestle for top US Women's Wrestling federations like SHIMMER, SHINE OR WSU (Women's Superstars Uncensored)?

I've always dreamed of wrestling in the U.S and I would love to work in all the great promotions over the pond.

10. Would you like to work on the independent scene or would you work in one of the big leagues?

I would love to do both, my goal with wrestling is to travel the world and learn as much as possible.

11. Let's go around with name association. I say a name, you can respond whatever you please. Violet O'Hara?

Surprise package

12. Destiny?

Formidable powerhouse.

13. Paige?

Prodigy.

14. Chanel?

Determined underdog.

15. Bette Noir?

Unstoppable warrior

16. Saraya Knight?

Supreme aggression.

17. Who is your dream opponent and why?

There are so many for me to choose, I have so many dream matches but at the moment I would have to pick Ruth between Chyna or Bull Nakano for the fantastic things they did for womens wrestling and the dedication they brought to the ring.

18. What does the future hold for you?

If me and Bête have anything to do with it, tag team gold! On our own we are formidable opponents, together we are unstoppable!

19. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your supporters?

19. I would like to say thanks to my supporters and to those aren't supporters yet, jump on the bandwagon or get run over! and i would like to remind everyone to order Bellatrix  iPPV! With the addition of myself and Bête Noire I think this will be the best and most talented Bellatrix show yet!

Special thanks to Viper for her time for this interview as well as Saraya Knight for helping me out in the process. To learn more about Viper, visit her website at www.scottishviper.co.uk.

Bellatrix Countdown: Interview with Miss Mina

Miss Mina from Norway is an absolute Valkyrie in the ring. An powerhouse unlike no other, she has the athleticism of the Nordic warriors who fight for the honor of Valhalla. When she faces Pro Wrestling EVE Champion Nikki Storm, she will bring a taste of Valhalla to The Dynamite Queen.

In an interview (The FIRST on the Barbwire Blog), she will be talking about her upcoming match with Nikki as well as talk about what she's been up to these day. You might want to read about who she picked as a dream opponent.

Let's hear it for the Nordic Valkyrie herself.

1.It looks like you will be taking on a very talkative and competitive Pro Wrestling EVE Champion Nikki Storm. How will you fare against her?

Nikki Storm seems like a good opponent, but now I have never met her in the ring before.  I will deal with her like I always do, the warriors way.  I am looking forward to see what sort of style she will come at me with. And I am exited to see if she is a worthy opponent for a Viking. Bravery is half the victory in the ring with me, and if she is wise she should prepare for loss!

2.What have you been up to lately in the world of wrestling?

I had my match vs Destiny here in Norway at the start of the month and were victorious, I have been waiting for a chance to take her down for quite some time. I have proven I am the better warrior! And other than that I have been training keeping my weapons sharp! There is nothing more disappointing in the ring than a dull weapon!

3.With the debuts of Nikki Storm, Alpha Female, Shanna and many others, it is viewed in my opinion as a Pro Wrestling EVE invasion. Do you view that as such?

No definitely not , they are coming into the Bellatrix roster as individual talents. Bellatrix warriors is  One of the top female federations at the min and we do it the warrior way! They should be proud to be a part of it all!

4.You brought so much to the table when it comes to Bellatrix.

Thank you , I am always bringing my best to the table! I take great pride in Bellatrix and being a part of it! There is more epic battles coming your way!

5.Let's go around with some name association. I say a name, you can respond to whatever you please. Aurora Flame?

Headstrong and motivated

6. Queen Maya?

Giant fightmachine

7. Liberty?

Extremly talented, gutted I never wrestled her

8. Amy Lee?

Actions speak for it self

9. Rhia O'Reilly?

Up and coming

10. Viper?

Brutal

11. Destiny?

Veteran and will be a legend

12. Saraya Knight?

Awesome inspiration to us all, she is one of the most respected females in the biz!

13. Who is your dream opponent and why?

My dream opponent at this time would be Madison Eagles, I love her style of wrestling and she is someone I could learn a lot from!

14. In closing, would you like to leave a last message for your fans as well as Nikki Storm?

Thank you so much for following the Bellatrix female warriors and myself, see you at the show! Keep updatet on whats going on from my twitter or my facebook fanpage The Nordic Valkyrie fanpage.
Nikki Storm I hope you are ready to step in the ring with the Norwegian Viking, I only ask you to take your courage, for that is the first sign of a true warrior!
